Description: Composition Workshop – Build Our Eye, Together

What makes a photo compelling? Join us for a hands-on session exploring the core elements of composition—line, shape, form, colour, balance, and more.

This interactive workshop takes a deep dive into the fundamentals of photographic composition. We’ll begin with an overview of key compositional tools—such as lines and curves, shapes and forms, patterns and textures, framing, depth, perspective, balance, colour relationships, and visual tension.

We will then break into small groups of two or three to evaluate a series of diverse images. Each group will analyse how composition influences mood, storytelling, and the viewer’s experience, discussing what works, what could be improved, and why.

To finish, we’ll come back together as a full group to share observations, compare perspectives, and build a collective understanding of strong compositional choices. This is a supportive, hands-on session designed to help photographers at all levels sharpen their ability to “see” and compose more intentionally.

This is a practical, fun way to strengthen your photographic eye.
