The Next Steps Interest group provides a supportive space for members who want to improve their photography for external competitions. It:

• offers light coaching and constructive critique to members with guidance on image development and selection
• builds members' confidence in entering competitions and then celebrates their successes
• advises the club on which interclub competitions to enter and curates entries
• provides general advice, feedback and resources for interested members

A small team of mentors with complementary strengths provide the advice and feedback. Mentors include experienced photographers such as, Kerry Boytell, Eric Lippey and Shane Clarkeson,

Meetings are held regularly or as required, where members bring along 2 - 3 images (whether online or in person) for critique and feedback.

Mentors may also approach members to encourage them to enter competitions if interested.
