Club Patrons
Henry Talbot
Henry Talbot (EFIAP) was a patron from 1996 to 1999. He escaped Nazi Germany, pioneered Australian fashion photography with location and natural light shoots, taught at Preston Institute, and supported NCP generously before his 1999 passing. The AIPP later named an award in his honor.
Arch Raymond
Arch Raymond (AFIAP FRPS AAPS SSAPS) was a patron and valued mentor to the club from 1999 to 2011. He invented many darkroom techniques, explained in his book "The Artful Dodger." He wrote the club’s first definition of creative photography and embraced digital technology. He travelled the world with his wife Mary and exhibited his work in Sydney, Melbourne and London. In 2002 he presented a retrospective exhibition and talk in the Lindfield church hall, which was acclaimed by the many amateur and professional photographers who attended.
