Start time: 6:30am
Description: Morning at Waverton and Balls Head
Steve Mullarkey has very kindly researched and written up the outline for this outing.

Balls Head is a stunning reserve just a short drive south of Waverton Station. There is direct road access and convenient parking. Besides the beautiful bushland, including some spectacular Angophora trees with many photo opportunities, there are also fantastic views of Sydney Harbour, the Harbour Bridge, the CBD, Darling Harbour and Balmain.

Schedule:
1. Sunrise shooters to arrive pre-sunrise at suggested location(s) in Balls Head and Waverton around 6.30am,  Steve will organise details of potential locations and a map in the next day or so. These will be added to this site.

2. Sunrise on 16th March is at 6.54am, so early light will be at 6.30am or even a little earlier.

3. Continue photographing until 8.45am.

4. Meet up in the '3rd Rail Cafe' at 9am. Cafe is round the corner from Waverton Railway Station. Waverton cafes are very popular every day, so Steve will make a booking. Please email Steve, stevemul@me.com  to secure your booking.

5. Later arrivals welcome to join the group, 9am at the cafe.  Again please email Steve.

6. Continue photography 9.45am-12.00pm going to areas within easy walking distance of the cafe and Waverton Station.

Lunch from 12.00pm Bay Brew Cafe, Waverton.

Coming by train:
If you would like to come by train, the walk from Waverton Station to the Coal Loader takes around
12 minutes. To continue to Balls Head and the views to the city would take you another 5-8 minutes.
Steve is happy to pick up members from the station, driving them to Balls Head, returning later to the cafe, next to the station.
