Description:	“Awesome Abstracts: the fun and curiosity of macros and aerials” is a 90min presentation by Internationally-acclaimed landscape photographer Mieke Boynton. In 2008, Mieke travelled to the rugged and remote Kimberley region of Western Australia and promptly fell in love with the landscape. She is now a full-time professional photographer, specialising in landscape and aerial photography, and has won numerous International awards including the prestigious Epson International Pano Awards. Mieke and her fiancée Matt Palmer run their “Alpine Light” photography gallery in her hometown of Bright, Victoria which showcases their extensive collections of landscape and aerial work. Her “Awesome Abstracts” presentation begins with an engaging exploration of the key aspects of abstract photography using her abstract aerial photographs, and she provides genre-specific advice and camera settings for abstract aerial photography. She then delves into other (more affordable) Abstract genres, sharing her images and set-ups for oil & water macro photography, abstract smoke, milk & food dye macro photography, and ICM – Intentional Camera Movement.
