National Photographic Portrait Prize 2018
Entries close 9am Mon 20 November.
$50,000 in prizes goes to the creator of the most outstanding photographic portrait. There will also be prizes for Highly Commended as well an Art Handlers’ Award and the ever-popular People’s Choice Award!
Thanks to the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and CR Kennedy, the Winner of the 2018 National Photographic Portrait Prize will be awarded $50,000 in prizes. $30,000 cash from the Portrait Gallery and lighting equipment from Profoto and paper or film supplies from Ilford to the value of $20,000.
Group portraits and self-portraits will be accepted. Each entry must be submitted as a digital file saved as a jpeg with a recommended file size of around 15MB. The original must be created using either traditional photographic emulsion or digital process in two-dimensional format.

This is one of the most prestigious wildlife competitions in the world and is run by the Natural History Museum UK. There are 16 categories in the adult competition, so no excuse not to enter! And there is a one off fee of £30 UK for up to 25 entries.

Photographers from around the world are invited to submit their nature and wildlife photographs from the bioregion of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and the New Guinea. All Entries must have been taken within the 7 years prior to the end of the Competition Period.
