The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan showcases Australian flora amongst 416 hectares of rolling hills, lakes, lawns and gardens. At the Garden you can see gorgeous displays of Australian flora from across the country, relax at one of the picnic areas with free barbecues, take a walk on one of the many tracks and maybe even see some native animal or bird life. There is lots to photograph!

COVID-19
This outing allows members to travel by car and avoid public transport and is a location where it should be relatively easy to maintain social distancing. NSW restrictions now allow up to 50 fully vaccinated people to gather outside in a public place. Please do not come if you are not fully vaccinated – this is a government requirement. Please bring your own hand sanitiser, a mask, your mobile phone for QR check-in, and follow all government guidelines relating to COVID-19.
Getting There and Parking
Arrival time: 10.00 am - meet by the visitor centre.
Depending on traffic, it is approximately a 1 hour drive to Mount Annan from the Gordon/Lindfield area via the M2, M7 and M31 – toll fees are quite high on that route, so the alternate route is via the A3 all the way to Roselands and then on to the M5 and the M31 – still tolls, but less.
Parking at the gardens is plentiful. Head for the visitor centre and park in Car Park P3.
Note – there is currently no café at the gardens – or even close nearby. It is best to bring your own food and drink. A good opportunity for a picnic!!
Program
There is no formal program – just wander around and take photos. We will meet by the lake for a picnic lunch at 12 pm.
